Today students need to read pages 440-454 in the textbook. While reading, complete all questions within the text and on page 454 using Socrative. Remember, you can access the book online at the top of the blog. Answer the lesson review questions on Socrative.com.

Students in grade 6 are expected to have 30 minutes of work from each class period per day that the school is closed. Students were instructed to bring their textbook home on Thursday 3/12. You are welcome to access the online textbook using the link on the top right hand side of the blog. Students will need to know their Office 365 login. Please check back EACH week day for the daily assignment that students will need to complete in their science textbooks and socrative.com. Please be aware that a DAILY grade will be taken by the student submitting their work on socrative each day when they are done with their reading. Please monitor the blog closely during school closures. I will be updating the blog daily with assignments and grades. Students took home textbooks today in order to complete assignments.
Today we went to the lab for Rock, Mineral, or Neither. This was number 8 in our notebook. We are trying to raise money for new PE equipment. Each student is to create 2 mineral superheros (1 assigned and 1 of their choice). Assignment due on Friday.
Today we took an open note quiz over natural resources (renewable and non-renewable). We also took notes on mineral identification.
On Wednesday and Friday, we completed inquiry stations regarding natural resources, renewable and nonrenewable. On Thursday, we did a lab to determine if items are renewable or not.
Today we started talking about natural resources (renewable and non-renewable). We also watched 2 Brainpop videos. (All classes) Class 2 - read pages 593-603 and complete all reading activities, except for #8. Answer all questions on page 603. Page 603 is due tomorrow.
Today we took the Unit 7 Pre-Test and completed Unit 7 Vocabulary.
Today we worked on enrichment and remediation for Unit 6.
